Remploy Household and Toiletries, part of the UK's largest employer of disabled people, will this month bring under one roof some 200 staff from four different locations – in St Helens, Radcliffe, Aintree and Woolwich, with the opening of its new £10m St Helens factory.

The 10,000 ft2 plant will create up to 150 new jobs, and will be equipped with four new filling facilities, making the company one of Europe’s first contract packers with a dedicated rotary filling line for wax and cream hot fill products.

Also incorporated are a state-of-the-art line for manufacturing and packaging flammable alcohol-based goods like nail polish remover, deodorants and perfumes, a new tube filling line, and an “enzymatic” production facility, complete with filling and capping area, for liquid fabric conditioners.
