Switzerland-based Hoffmann Neopac has purchased a majority stake in India-based 3D Technopack for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Mumbai, 3D Technopack is engaged in the production of plastic tubes for the health and beauty care markets.

3D Technopack produces monolayer or multilayer seamless tubes ranging from 5ml to 250ml.

With around 220 employees, the company produces around 120 million tubes per year.

The company provides tubes to major brands in India, in addition to mid-sized companies in Europe.

The acquisition will allow Hoffmann to enhance its expertise in tube manufacturing, as well as expanding its presence in international market.

3D Technopack will use Neopac’s funding to expand capacity in 3D’s core extruded tube business and introduce new generation of tube products.

Hoffmann Neopac provides tube packaging solutions to the customers in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

The company produces Polyfoil tubes for the pharmaceutical customers. It provides protection against light, air,water vapor diffusion and substance migration and is compatible with liquid or semi-solid medication.

The portfolio ranges from single-dose tubes and airless pump or dropper tubes to tubes with tamper-proof and child resistant.

Neopac also produces a range of caps, including single-dose tubes with twist locks, flip-top caps and screw caps that can be embossed, metallized or decorated with a metal shell.

The caps can be used for airless pump tubes, soft or cooling tips, roll-on tubes and dropper tubes.
