At the event, Mondi will showcase flexible packaging, corrugated solutions, industrial bags, containerboard and office and professional printing papers.

A new product in the Pergraphica portfolio will be presented at the event. Pergraphica is Mondi’s premium design paper, which meets the requirements of the creative and print industries.

The new product in the portfolio is Pergraphica Infinite Black paper, which is intended for premium creative print and packaging applications like shopping bags, covers or liners.

Mondi said Pergraphica Infinite Black will inspire designers with its smooth feel and deep shade, and offer better folding and varnishing properties, food safety certification, and a range of substances.

At the event, the company will also exhibit the corrugated e-commerce solution, (Re)use, prior to its market launch in Russia.

The (Re)use solution removes the need for further foil bags in transport by increasing handling efficiency during fulfilment through its easy closure.

Other solutions to be showcased include SplashBag, which is made of Mondi Advantage Protect sack kraft paper. The bag has been designed to absorb less moisture than conventional bags.

The bag, which was originally introduced in 2015, has been improved via R&D. Mondi said the bag is even more water repellent than before as it now has the capacity to resist rain for up to six hours and can be stored in wet environments for nearly five days.

Users can handle and make the bag empty without any breakage, making it the perfect solution for moisture-sensitive powdered products such as cement and other building materials.

The RosUpack 2018 event will also see the showcase of Mondi flexible cement bag for packaging of cement and dry construction mixtures; and ProVantage Komiwhite, the Nordic fibre paper for shelf-ready packaging solutions.

Mondi consumer packaging business CEO Georg Kasperkovitz said many of the company’s packaging solutions and designs result from collaboration with major companies across the world to develop the sustainable and innovative solutions they and their customers need.

Kasperkovitz said: “Today’s end-consumers are attracted by packaging that stands out through appealing design and innovative features. Our design process also considers our customers’ logistics chains, making them more efficient and economical.”

In Russia, Mondi has two consumer packaging facilities, one corrugated packaging plant, and a pulp and paper mill in Syktyvkar.
