MAN Roland’s new R900 XXL range of large format presses includes format 7, 7B and 8 models. The format 8 version handles an 1,300 x 1,850 mm sheet size, and can print up to 10,000 sheets/hour. The 7 and 7B versions (maximum sheet size 1,120 or 1,200 x 1,620mm) will print up to 12,000 sheets/hour.
The XXL features a high level of automation, including MAN Roland’s PECOM computerized press management system and the PPL automatic plate changing system. Washing of inking and damping units as well as the impression cylinders is all carried out from the central control console.
The feeder and feedboard have been modified to transport large sheets into the infeed, whilst front-lays can be selected and adjusted by motors from the control console and at the infeed.
