Growing drinks brand KTea has switched bottle suppliers and selected Beatson Clark’s new amber beverages bottle for its kombucha fermented tea.

The Guernsey-based artisan drinks company is now using Beatson Clark’s new 330ml amber Alpha drinks container with an MCA and a regular crown neck finish to boost production and sales.

KTea is a beverage brand which is three years old and available in five flavours – Ginger Hops, Summer Hops, Africa, Pekoe, and Sencha.

It can be purchased online as well as in bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores all around the Channel Islands.

The 330ml amber Alpha drinks bottle, which is a part of Beatson Clark’s comprehensive standard range, may also be used for beers.

Beatson Clark sales and marketing director Lynn Sidebottom said: “Our new Alpha drinks bottle is proving very popular with customers.

“It has a retro, apothecary-style design which is very appealing for drinks brands as it lends a premium look to their products.”

Sidebottom added: “It’s based on an Alpha Sirop pharmaceutical bottle normally used for medicines, but it’s tested to 3.0 bar which makes it suitable for carbonated or fermented drinks.

“It’s great to see so many drinks manufacturers choosing our new bottle, and we’re especially pleased when they opt for a British manufacturer to support the UK economy and to lower their impact on the environment.”

Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage which first appeared in China about 2,000 years ago and now 1,000 pubs in Britain sell it.

In August last year, Beatson Clark supplied its amber glass packaging to hair care brand Prose for its new ROOT SOURCE personalised hair growth supplements.
