Established in 1929, Sprinkman supplies engineered food and beverage processing equipment for the dairy and brewing industries.

The company provides services to the customers ranging from start-up microbreweries to large multi-national food and beverage producers.

Sprinkman produces microbrewery equipment systems, including stainless steel brewing equipment, automation, piping, heat exchange, grain handling, yeast brinks and cellar equipment.

The company also produces processing systems such as mixing/blending batch systems, high temperature short time pasteurization (HTST) systems, clean-in-place (CIP) systems and hot water sets.

Sprinkman’s headquarter and management will continue to be based in Waukesha of Wisconsin, and production facility in Elroy.

The acquisition of Sprinkman, along with other recent acquired businesses, will help Krones to expand its product portfolio in North America.

The acquired businesses will enhance Sprinkman capabilities ranging from process technology solutions and bottling and packaging equipment to intralogistics, IT solutions, plastics recycling, and lifecycle service support.

In September this year, Krones also acquired the business operations and assets of Shanghai Xiantong Equipment Installation.

Since many years, the Chinese firm has been a partner and supplier to Krones in the field of process technology.

The acquisition has added Krones with production site for brewing equipment and other process technology solutions in China. It also added 170 employees, who serve complete value chain ranging from engineering, manufacturing to installation and commissioning.

The company is operating under the name Krones Processing (Shanghai), which delivers turnkey process technology solutions, specifically for breweries, around the globe.
