Spain's Comexi Group has expanded into North America by acquiring Agawam, Massachusetts, based flexo press manufacturer Kidder for an undisclosed sum. It says the investment will "utilize and complement the strengths and product lines of both companies and ensure unparalleled service".
Comexi, supplier of flexo presses, solventless laminators, slitters and ancillary equipment, will provide new products to Kidder, America’s oldest press manufacturer, who will continue to service its markets, providing custom press solutions to paper, film and paperboard converters, along with RADB systems and retrofits.
Integrated marketing, sales, manufacturing, parts and service by Comexi and Kidder will provide long term domestic support and product management to the North American market for both companies’ products. Kidder’s site will be the headquarters for all sales, service and spare parts for Comexi and Kidder products in the US and Canada.
