The popularity of online purchases has increased the volume of carrier deliveries to the home. Unfortunately, the packages are sometimes stolen before the owner can retrieve them. Luckily, an inventor from Palmetto, Ga., has conceived of a way to thwart such criminal activities.

He developed SECURE DROP specifically to prevent theft of delivered packages. As such it provides wireless control of a package receptacle, making it accessible only by the property owner and delivery personnel. Thus, it affords peace of mind for concerned recipients since it also protects the packaging and contents against the elements. This safe, sturdy container is both cost efficient and easy to use. In addition, users will appreciate how convenient, effective and affordably priced it is.

The inventor’s personal loss inspired the idea. “I thought of this after I had a package stolen from my doorsteps,” he said. “This idea would assure that no unauthorized persons could remove delivered items.”

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta 3 sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
