The web inspection and splice detection equipment of US manufacturer RKB is now available in the UK through Webtek.
The equipment is capable of detecting and analyzing many defects commonly found in web based processes used for manufacturing papers, boards, films, fabrics and other related products. Sensing technologies for defect detection, measurement and analysis include capacitance, infra red, ultra violet, CCD line scan video and CCD streak sensor video.
In addition, the Quality Assurance Management System software provides complete data collection, analysis and reporting capabilities for web inspection data. Custom configured for each application, it is said to provide easy to understand displays and stores information on reel production, defect distributions, profiles and history in a variety of formats.
