Huntington Solutions has acquired expanded polystyrene (EPS) and industrial packaging solutions provider TrimTec Systems for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Ohio, TrimTec is specialized in customizing packaging solutions and producing computer cut parts as per the requirement of the customers.

TrimTec uses corrugated plastic in its boxes, containers and totes, which can be produced in any size or style as per the requirement.

The company produces boxes that collapse, totes with lids and trays, as well as nestable and stackable totes.

TrimTec also produces EPS box liners and carton liners for different applications, including mail order products, perishable food, pharmaceuticals, biotech and refrigeration.

To provide maximum thermal protection, containers can also be lined with a foil and film laminated EPS, enabling product to reach the final destination in better condition.

Its bottle and wine shipper products are used to protect bottles in transit. The firm’s thick and thin walled shippers can be used for shipping applications in different industries, including pharmaceutical, sea food and specialty items.

Trimtec’s wine shippers can be used for a variety of standard champagne and magnum bottle with different diameters.

In addition, the firm offers range of industrial OEM packaging products and related services to different industries.

TrimTec Systems founder and president Jeff Wagner said: “We are very excited about this opportunity to be a part of the Huntington organization. Huntington brings an exceptional culture that is committed to quality and customer service.

Huntington Solutions president Ed Flynn said: "TrimTec is a great addition to the Huntington organization and will allow us to quickly expand the range of product offerings to our existing customer base while also further expanding our geographic reach in the Midwest market.”
