Hub Labels, a US-based manufacturer of pressure-sensitive and linerless label products, has invested in MPS EF multi-substrate flexo press to produce linerless labels.

MPS EF is an automated multi-substrate flexographic press that can be used for both label production and flexible packaging printing.

The flexo press is suitable for printing on a range of substrates such as thin film, paper, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging.

Serving as an environmentally friendly option, Linerless label technology helps to eliminate the liner found on traditional pressure-sensitive labels.

Hub Labels has started producing linerless labels for local business Perdue Farms.

Hub Labels is engaged in the manufacturing of pressure-sensitive and linerless label products for the customers in the US.

The company operates 110,000ft² facility in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Hub Labels president Thomas Dahbura said: “We are extremely excited to offer this new option to our customers to help them grow their brand with us.”

MPS Systems North America area sales manager Michael Weyermann said: : “We are glad to see that Hub Labels was convinced by the MPS quality and the flexibility of the EF press.

“This press offers them new capabilities in the high-speed production of various substrates, especially the production of sustainable, environmentally friendly linerless labels.”

MPS supplies flexo and offset press solutions for label and flexible packaging printers. The company produces press products such as EB, EF, EF Symjet, EXL-Offset and EXL-Packaging.

Recently, MPS selected encsa, Coras do Brasil and Ferrostaal Chile as its sales partners in South America.

Fencsa will distribute MPS product solutions to the customers in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Venezuela. 

Coras do Brasil will supply MPS solutions in Brazil and Argentina. The firm supplies flexible packaging solutions, labels, and self-adhesive tapes to its customers.

Ferrostaal Trading Group’s subsidiary Ferrostaal Chile will supply MPS’ solutions to the customers in Chile and Bolivia.
