Styroflex PG77 is an optimised styrenic material that combines transparency, superior elongation and toughness for stretch hood packaging

Chinese polyethylene (PE) functional film company Hualo Film has selected Styroflex PG77, an optimised styrenic material developed by Germany-based INEOS Styrolution, for its stretch hood film solution.
Styroflex is a styrene-butadiene block copolymer (SBC) material that has the properties of a thermoplastic elastomer (S-TPE).
It is said to offer superior stretch recovery and superior transparency and puncture resistance when applied in films.
According to the German styrenics supplier, its Styroflex PG77 was specifically customised for packaging applications such as stretch hood solutions.

INEOS Styrolution is a supplier of styrenics, with a focus on styrene monomer, polystyrene, ABS Standard and styrenic specialities.
The company claims that its Styroflex PG77 combines enhanced transparency with superior elongation and extensive toughness.
The material has high recovery capacity, where it can be stretched up to 200% and it snaps back to its original shape, clings tightly to the load and holds it securely, said INEOS Styrolution.
With more than 90 years of experience, INEOS Styrolution has 3,600 employees and operates 20 production facilities in ten countries.
Hualo Film is a flexible plastic and laminate packaging company specialising in PE films.
The company’s primary products include flexible packaging film, protective film, industrial packaging film and speciality film, in addition to mono-material lamination solution.
