HiPP, a processor of organic-biological raw materials, has launched its new infant formula packaging with Aptar Food + Beverage’s Neo closure in selected Asian markets, including China and Hong Kong.

Designed to provide enhanced convenience and better functionality, the new closure solution consists of a tamper-evidence band, which assures parents that the package has not been opened before purchase.

With wide finger-recess, lid diameter of 127mm and an easily accessible scoop, the new closure supports one-handed dispensing for parents.

It also includes an audible click to reassure parents the package is fully closed upon use while minimising the risk of contamination.

Aptar stated that it has manufactured the customised Neo closure in a high-care area, free of contamination to deliver maximum product hygiene and safety.

The flexband design provides a low-application force on the production line, which is suitable for mechanical or manual application, and supports centre the closure onto the can even if it is metal or composite.

The flexband also protects the formula from insects and other possible contaminants.

HiPP’s customised version of Neo facilitates maximum stackability, providing flexibility to save space in transport and commercial and home storage.

The customised Neo closure is also slightly taller than the standard Neo version to accommodate a range of measuring scoop sizes.

In June this year, Aptar Food + Beverage collaborated with REBO to introduce a new smart reusable water bottle.
