Spain-based packaging firm Hinojosa Packaging Group has introduced its new Foodservice line of 100% recyclable primary packaging range for prepared foods and beverages.

Launched at an industrial level, the new packaging products are environmentally neutral at the end of their life cycle and are certified compostable.

The company’s new line of products has solutions that feature printing techniques, which are suitable for contact with food.

The Foodservice line joins the list of other products by the group, like Halopack and 360GP. It aligns with the firm’s goal to reduce the use of single-use plastics.

Hinojosa promotes sustainable consumption trends in the food industry and eases the integration of sustainability to boost competitiveness.

The new models are classified for Beverage, Dairy and FoodContainer ranges.

According to the packaging firm, the first model is intended for hot and cold beverages, the second model is designed for dairy products like yoghurts and ice cream and the third model is developed for fourth and fifth-range prepared foods.

Hinojosa Packaging claimed that all the models are suitable for delivery services for restaurants and quick-service chains (QSR).

Recently, the packaging company inaugurated its first plant to produce paper-based primary packaging for the foodservice sector.

The facility is dedicated to producing and distributing prepared or ready-to-process food and beverages across food industries, vending, supermarkets, and the HORECA (hotels, restaurants and catering) channel.

In September last year, Hinojosa showcased a new range of solutions that are versatile, 100% recyclable, and customisable to the needs of diverse customers in the fishing sector at Conxemar 2022.

The company currently employs 2,500 people and operates 19 production plants across Spain, Portugal, and France.
