H.B. Fuller to Showcase Flex Pack Capability and Commitment at ICE

H.B. Fuller  will underline its position as a key player in the Flex Pack market by showcasing its comprehensive range of fast, food-compliant laminating adhesives and its recent Flex Pack related investments at the International Converting Exhibition (ICE) in Munich, March 21-23.

In addition to an expanding line-up of adhesive solutions covering everything from general purpose to high performance, H.B. Fuller will take the opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the flexible packaging sector. As its reprepresentatives at ICE will explain, the company has invested heavily in R&D, equipment, production capacity and specialist field staff, all geared to meeting customers’ Flex Pack needs.

“Our aim is to give converters everything they need to maintain a competitive edge and grow their business,” says Frédéric Di Monte, business manager, flexible packaging, EIMEA. “Speed is vital. They must be able to respond quickly to rapidly changing customer, manufacturer and supermarket packaging demands. The adhesives they use must be fast, agile and versatile, to make all processes more efficient and to get flexible-packaged food products to the market in the shortest possible time. They must also, of course, comply with food legislation. And along with access to the right adhesives, they must have advice and support from field staff with deep knowledge of the issues involved.”

To achieve these aims, H.B. Fuller has made a major investment in continuous product development through R&D facilities like its Adhesive Academy in Lüneburg. New equipment includes a laboratory-scale laminator which has increased its application testing and troubleshooting capabilities. Meanwhile, extra staff with Flex Pack expertise are being deployed to serve customers across the EMEA region, and production capacity at the company’s plant in Italy has been expanded to meet growing demand of both solvent-free and solvent-based lamination adhesives.

“H.B. Fuller is comprehensively equipped to ‘connect what matters’ in the Flex Pack market,” Frédéric Di Monte concludes. “Customers can trust in our 130-year track record of innovation, adhesive performance and mutual business growth through collaborative partnership. As a strong global provider who truly understands Flex Pack and the related food compliance challenges, we offer complete supply assurance and reduced risk.”
