Grafica Etikor is engaged in providing adhesive labels for markets including specialty beverages, pharmaceuticals and auto lubricants.

The investment in the new press is a part of the firm’s effort to expand its foothold in the health and beauty and food marketplace.

As part of its expansion program, Etikor implemented a capital growth plan to incorporate additional machinery in an effort to increase capacity and high-end application offerings to its customers.

Etikor founder Ivo Stangherlin said: “We can say today that we are experiencing a 30% growth in production and consequently in revenue. This is a huge figure to be done by only one new press.”

Since the commissioning of the Mark Andy Performance Series press at its undisclosed site, Grafica Etikor has experienced 30% growth in production, Mark Andy said.

Stangherlin added that the P Series press, at considerably higher speeds, allows Etikor to produce high-end, quality labels with only CMYK and with less waste.

Configured with eight printing units, the P7E features independently servo-driven web transport and tooling; in-line rotary die cutting with Quick Change Die Cut (QCDC); high-efficiency UV curing system; and cold foil application.

Mark Andy said that the Etikor, as a result of success with the P7E press, is considering purchasing additional Mark Andy pressroom equipment to their operation in 2019.

The firm said in a statement: “They are currently evaluating the benefits of further increasing their flexo volume with an additional P7E and if their growing book of business supports the transition to the True Hybrid production of the Digital Series HD.”

Designed to allow converters to expand into new markets, targeting entry level film and extended content applications, the Performance Series P7E features Thread-It technology which simplifies press webbing for operators.

Mark Andy is planning to officially unveil its Performance Series product line P7E and P5E presses at Labelexpo Americas 2018 event, scheduled to be held from 25-27 September in the US.
