Packaging manufacturer GPA Global has wrapped up the acquisition of the print and packaging facility from ASG Print in Poland.

Located in Pruszków, the facility is involved in the production of folding cartons and rigid boxes, as well as other specialist paper and board products.

Under the deal, GPA has also acquired ASG’s print technical sales offices in the UK, France and the Netherlands.

GPA aims to invest in and expand these locations to complement the company’s products and services.

GPA Global CEO Adam Melton said: “As global supply chains are migrating closer to where products are consumed, having manufacturing in Poland is of strategic importance for GPA Global and we intend to continue to expand our presence in the region.”

The acquisition of the Polish facility is part of GPA Global’s strategic plan of expanding European operations.

With a floor space of 8,000m², the Pruszków facility features the latest generation machinery and offers turnkey solutions ranging from design to delivery.

The facility’s specialised skillset integrates verifiable coding and serialisation, special finishes, and hand assembly.

GPA Global president Tom Wang said: “With our combined strength and capabilities, we look forward to expanding our global offering to our combined customer base.”

Over the last few years, GPA acquired UK packaging companies MW Luxury Packaging, Lucas Luxury and North American company HUB Folding Box.

GPA Global, which handles design, engineering and manufacturing under one roof, has expertise in the production of custom packaging, displays and fixture solutions.
