Swisslog Transnorm has added the patented Spiralveyor to its conveyor range, designed to offer continuous elevation/lowering solutions for product handling applications.
Spiralveyor is said to offer advantages over conventional conveying methods in raising and lowering products from different levels.
The spiral principle creates a small angle that prevents products from sliding back, and the spiral shaped belt does not require synchronisation. This makes conveying capacity much greater than a conventional lift system and avoids bottlenecks, says the company.
It is said to be ideal for applications requiring buffering or time delay.
