Smart packaging innovations are set to provide a boost to the packaging industry as spending on smart packaging and new applications of that technology increases significantly over the next five years, says a new market report published by industry consultants Analytiqa.
Entitled Smart Packaging 2003 – Leading Evolution in the Supply Chain, the report concludes that 2003 is a critical time in the development of the new e-market and, for the new technology to really take hold, it will require significant commitment from several large manufacturers and retailers.
