Fujifilm North America’s Graphic Systems Division and CGS will unveil an array of technology solutions for the package printing sector during next month’s INFO Flex 2017 event in Phoenix, Arizona.

The event which will be held on May 1 and 2 at the Phoenix Convention Center will have the Fujifilm and CGS booth to display label samples from the Graphium UV hybrid press alongside FLENEX waterwash plate system, new flexo inks, the Illumina LED Retrofit System and demonstrations of the ORIS Flex Pack // Web Visualizer and iC3D.

A product lifecycle workflow solution for the flexographic and digital print market is expected to be lined up by Fujifilm and CGS at the INFO Flex 2017.

The Fujifilm booth will feature the new 300 Series LED inks that cure with traditional UV lamps as well. Also on display at the event will be LED and a range of high performance waterbase and UV curable inks, said Fujifilm.

Fujifilm North America Graphic Systems Division product manager Mike Barry said: “Fujifilm is eager to showcase its relationship with CGS with regard to our collaborative flexo solutions.

“These solutions allow converters to elevate their design, proofing, prototyping, digital and flexo production to the next level.”

According to Fujifilm, Graphium is a high speed digital hybrid UV inkjet press. It helps label and packaging printers in boosting productivity, enhancing margins and creates new print options that were not available before through conventional flexo technologies alone.

The FLENEX waterwash plate making system on the other hand is claimed to give high flexo print quality while registering fastest production times. It is said to considerably reduce cost-in-use than the current thermal, solvent, and other waterwash technologies.

Fujifilm says that the new Illumina LED Retrofit System transforms any conventional UV or waterbase flexo press to LED-UV curing.

Usually installed in half a day, Illumina is claimed to result in cost-saving benefits, including faster press speeds on standard paper and film stocks, running high shrink films free from chill rollers and lowering the costs incurred on utility energy by up to 95%.
