The Jet Press 750S achieves high image quality that surpasses that of offset printing for the commercial and folding carton package printing fields. It is a new flagship model with a maximum high-speed output of 3,600 sheets per hour thanks to use of the latest printheads and ink, while still retaining features of the Jet Press 720S, which has gained acclaim worldwide. The Jet Press 750S will be on display at IGAS2018, to be held from July 26 to 31 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan.

Fujifilm began offering the inkjet digital press “Jet Press” series for the commercial printing field worldwide in 2011, ahead of other companies. The Jet Press 720S, released in 2014, is an innovative digital press that achieves high productivity using the single-pass system, in which printing is completed with just one pass of the printhead. Using B2 size paper (maximum paper size: 750mm x 530mm), a speed of 2,700 sheets per hour is possible (or 180 sheets per minute in terms of A4). By using “SAMBA” heads, which achieve high precision and stable ejection from the printhead, “VIVIDIA” aqueous pigment ink with its wide color range, and “Rapic Technology”*, Fujifilm’s proprietary coating technology that prevents ink droplets from spreading out when jetted onto paper, a sharp, gradation rich image can be rendered on various types of printing paper. The sheetfed “Jet Press” series continues to be widely adopted in Japan, Europe, and the United States, with approximately 150 installations worldwide so far.

The new Jet Press 750S further enhances productivity by adopting the latest proprietary technology while also inheriting the excellent base performance of the Jet Press 720S. Printhead droplet ejection speed was increased while also improving accuracy, and a high-speed output of 3,600 sheets per hour has been achieved by adopting a new drying mechanism. Additionally, by enlarging the maximum paper size to 750mm x 585mm, six pages of B5 size, the general size of books, can be printed on one sheet**, improving production efficiency. Power consumption has also been reduced by approximately 10% through the new drying mechanism, which brings the printing paper into close contact with the belt conveyor to apply direct heat. Since the total length of the dryer body has been reduced by 70cm compared to the conventional Jet Press 720S, the footprint has been reduced by approximately 15%.

At the “IGAS2018” venue, the entire booth will be likened to a printing factory, with the entire manufacturing process integrated from pre to post, proposed as the “Fujifilm Smart Factory” concept. Among these processes, the Jet Press 750S will be on display, showing off the machine’s performance and merits with practical demonstrations.

Fujifilm will continue to contribute to the development of the world’s printing industry by developing and providing innovative products for the digital printing market, the popularity of which is ever increasing.
