Mastics and sensitive ink compounds can now get increased barrier protection and temperature resistance from new laminate packaging foils developed by LPF Flexible Packaging, says the Clondalkin group company.

The laminates are a multi-layer flexible packaging material that can be printed or unprinted, and used in order to prevent the degeneration of packaged products during the transportation, handling and storage phases.

Mastics can be shipped over the world and are often stocked for long periods of time under difficult circumstances, such as high temperatures and humidity.

“A long shelf life is important for these technical products,” says Barry Marron, Managing Director of the Clondalkin Group Business Unit Laminated & Coated Products.

The development was achieved with help from Poly-clip Systems.
