Packaging solutions provider Flair Flexible has expanded its tactile packaging programme with the addition of a new product, Real Touch, Paper.

Real Touch, Paper, which serves as an alternative to conventional Kraft pouches, is said to offer a natural look and feel of paper without any material or cost of paper lamination.

The new product will be introduced at Natural Products Expo West 2022, which will be held from 8-12 March 2022 at Anaheim Convention Center in California, US.

The company claims that paper tactile solutions are completely customisable with additional options to choose between styles like kraft & rice paper classic styles or distinctive ones such as parchment or newsprint for an artisanal feel.

Flair marketing and design vice president Samju Kwon said: “The growing focus on naturalness and ‘authenticity’ makes paper appealing for brands to convey these at first sight.

“Visuals are critical for competing on the shelf, whether it’s highlighting product advantages or windows that let quality speak for itself.

“Real Touch, Paper gives brands more creative flexibility than conventional paper, without sacrificing important factors like shelf life or product safety.”

The new range of Real Touch range solutions, which is suitable for customised pouch and bag formats, also features coarse options such as wood & burlap with full or partial texturisation.

The company also provides support and services for recyclable formats, custom printing with full graphics support, and technical services to increase the shelf life while keeping labels clean.

In May 2020, Flair Flexible launched enhanced PLATINUM+ thermoforming films for improved efficiency and save costs.
