US-based oil and gas company ExxonMobil has launched its new Exceed S performance polyethylene (PE) resins.
The new product is a combination of stiffness and toughness to make its process easy.
The new PE resin provides options to reduce the complexity of film formulations and improve film performance, conversion efficiency, and packaging durability in comparison to the existing resins.
According to the firm, the Exceed S performance PE can create stiff and tough functional layers to boost performance and recyclability.
It also eliminates the need to add HDPE for stiffness or LDPE for processing.
Exceed S resins’ first three commercially available grades are designed to assure low melt pressure and high production on blown film machines.
ExxonMobil said that the resin’s enhanced puncture, impact and tear resistance property along with resistance to heat-induced blocking and flex cracking.
It can also help to expand the market presence of mechanically recyclable packaging through improved stiffness, toughness and bag drop survival rate.
