Zinc materials specialist EverZinc announced that it has established a new California-based business unit EverCare to accelerate the market and product development of people-centric, sustainable zinc-based skincare and extended shelf life packaging products.

The Belgium-based company also announced that it tapped experienced industry leader Heather Naef-Owen to lead EverCare’s headquarters and application labs in Ventura, California.

EverZinc chief executive officer Vincent Dujardin said: “At EverZinc, we are committed to creating products that matter, so we formed EverCare with a singular focus: to get closer to over eighty percent of our customers, who happen to be in the U.S., in order to serve them better and faster.

“We are fortunate to have an experienced and respected industry leader of Heather’s caliber to lead this strategically important new business unit.”

Heather Naef-Owen brings to EverCare years of solid and diverse industry, business and product development leadership experience in personal care and life sciences products.

She has worked for several leading companies, most recently as Director of Sales, Market Development and Innovation for consumer goods at Omya. In her new role, she will lead the global growth and expansion of EverCare.
