Sonoco's rectangular Linearpak paperboard canister has seen its first European application – being used for Super Foods' UK launch of its Ellactiva Calcium Chews.
Consumers can now buy the paperboard “can”, which is produced in the US and shipped to the UK for filling, in Boots and Waitrose stores.
Super Foods was keen the packaging would appeal to women and be easily found on crowded shelves.
Made of 100% recycled paperboard, the Linearpak has a broad front panel for maximum shelf facing.
The packs feature six-colour gravure-printed varnished labels for maximum shelf impact, and have a flexible plastic overcap.
