Esko said its WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated solution is allowing Landaal Packaging Systems to add designer capacity, track projects, manage process efficiencies, and reduce errors.
The WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated is a packaging management solution designed for corrugated converters.
Landaal is engaged in providing corrugated shipping boxes, POP displays and protective packaging to its customers. It operates
Operating two facilities in Michigan, US, the firm provides personalized innovative packaging and shipping strategies.
The new Esko’s solution has been selected at its meets Landaal’s requirement to have project transparency from the design to quote process and also wanted to control and manage their structural and graphic artwork content in a secure and manageable way.
The Esko’s solution also meets the firm’s requirement to create additional capacity for their ‘design to quote’ pipeline and to streamline and automate mundane tasks.
Landaal’s in-store division vice-president Mark Landaal said: “We wanted to automate and streamline repetitive tasks using a solution that had a user-friendly interface—internally and externally.
“We also needed a project management tool that was driven off our design tool. We had been using ArtiosCAD for a long time and needed something that made the design to quote process more efficient.”
Landaal also installed Esko’s Automation Engine to help streamline and automate workflow beyond the quote process.
Since the commissioning of the WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated for about four months ago, the WebCenter has been allowing Landaal to share all the final customer project data in one place and via visual dashboards, Esko said.
Landaal added: “With simple job requests using an ArtiosCAD standard design, we can return with a quote within hours. Those requests with some structural design take about 15-20% less time than before WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated because there is no longer a ‘back and forth’ between our designers and estimators.
“It also helps us to make sure that the first quote is the correct quote.”
