In a bid to offer pack security with functionality and provide 100% tamper evidence Huhtamaki (UK) has introduced a PP dairy tub with a hinged lid.
In so doing it has developed a concept that is said to require minimal changes to any filling line. It can be applied to thermoformed, paper and some injection moulded containers. The lid is attached to the frame by mechanical clips.
The lid will find application on packs of spreads, ice creams, dried fruit, cheese spreads, biscuits and confectionery.
Benefits include a large tab area for easy opening. There are no loose pieces to worry about. Although it is easily opened, it can be firmly closed. The lid features an in-mould label and is available in a range of colours and shapes.
