UK asset based lender Enterprise Finance Europe has provided £1M funding to support packaging entrepreneurs Jed Gisborne and Jan Ahmed’s acquisition of fine colour printer Hill & Tyler. The deal, also backed by The Co-operative Bank, will bring Hill & Tyler out of administration to join Gisborne and Ahmed expanding Fine Colour Packaging group – and create 30 new jobs in the process. Both companies are based in Nottingham.

EFE regional sales director Richard Hill explains: “There is significant inherent value in this business, a fact evident by their strong reputation in the market for high quality print production. The new management team certainly have the experience, business knowledge and foresight to reap the rewards of this value into the future.”

Jan Ahmed comments: “This latest acquisition has enabled us to expand into a new market. If we find other companies that are willing to sell at a price that we consider sensible, and there was a fit, then we will also consider purchasing them.”

Since its launch over two years ago, EFE has extended facilities in excess of £200M to support UK businesses in a range of markets and sectors.
