“Within 10 years, Nordenia has become the market leader for flexible packaging in Hungary and all of central and Eastern Europe,” claims Ralph Landwehr, vice chairman of Nordenia International. The German group has four production sites in Eastern Europe – in Russia, Poland and Hungary – producing flexible packaging and FIBCs.
Michael Heikenfeld, manager of Nordenia’s Central and Eastern Europe Group, sees further potential. “Growth rates in the flexible packaging industry of up to 10 per cent are possible in countries such as Russia, Bulgaria, the Baltic States, or Rumania,” he offers.
