PCMC is to build a 35,000ft2 state-of-the-art demonstration centre at its Glory Road Facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Due to open this autumn, the new centre will showcase non wovens and flexo machinery for customer inspection and use. It will house a 50in wide Infiniti gearless CI press, a 26in wide Evolution in-line press, and a new Vision-G gearless narrow web CI press. Non wovens machinery will include a new Clipper RX-200C wipes system and a new lab line to demonstrate PCMC ‘s capabilities to unwind, emboss, wet, print, fold, rewind, cut, and coat a wide range of substrates.

The Vision-G was developed for customers who need an advanced eight colour press with either 760 or 1,040mm web widths. “Our customers asked us for this new press,” reveals marketing specialist Lisa Prunty. “Combining the advantages of the previous Vision with the Vision-G, we came up with a low maintenance, gearless design in the eight colour, narrow web format our customers need.”

Featuring new Bosch-Rexroth fibre optic servo control technology, the Vision-G “has the best press access in the industry,” she boasts. “The new deck design allows for an eight colour, tool-free change-over in 35min.” Options available on the press include the eXtreme drying, Vortex wash-up, and sleeve handling systems.
