Printing, packaging, and labeling solutions provider Fortis Solutions has acquired Lewis Label Products, a US-based wholesale label printing and packaging services company, for an undisclosed amount.

Lewis Label is engaged in custom manufacturing of pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and flexible packaging products. It provides distinctive labeling and packaging solutions to its customers across the US.
Fortis president and CEO John O. Wynne Jr said: “Gib Lewis and his team have established themselves as one of the top converters in the Southwest.
“Lewis Label increases our presence in the food and beverage end markets while also expanding Fortis into the Nutraceutical sector.
“This acquisition bolsters our product offerings to include shrink sleeves and allows us to broaden our flexible packaging and pressure sensitive labeling capabilities. In addition, we are able to strengthen and grow our relationships with our valued customers by having a presence in Texas.”
The acquisition is a part of Fortis’ plan to further its breadth of product offerings and locations to better serve its customer base.
Lewis Label CEO Gibson D Lewis said that the deal will allow the firm to reach a new and higher level for its customers.
Employing over 400 employees across eight sites, Fortis provides product offerings utilizing its flexographic and digital printing capabilities.
The product offerings include pressure sensitive and shrink sleeve labels, extended booklet printing, variable data printing, multi-ply coupon printing and flexible packaging printing.
Fortis is a portfolio company of Main Post Partners, a private equity investment firm focused on investing in growth companies across the consumer value chain.
The latest acquisition follows purchase of US-based Action Packaging Systems by Fortis in 2017, to strengthen its business.
Action Packaging Systems is engaged in providing pressure sensitive prime, promotional and thermal labels in the US.
The firm, which has operations in Ellington, Connecticut and High Point, North Carolina, also provides custom labels, thermal transfer barcode printers, barcode labeling software and other products.
In January 2017, Fortis Solutions Group acquired Action Packaging Systems, a provider of pressure sensitive prime, promotional and thermal labels to customers across the US.
