Atwell Labellers has designed three top/bottom labelling lines for a UK food producer’s latest bacon packs to label three different sized containers, all unusually profiled, at up to 75/min.
A clear, shaped label is wrapped around the pack base and adjacent sides, with a secondary paper label applied to the top. The base label is initially dispensed upwards onto the pack and, while the pack is held beneath a motorised top stabiliser belt, the label flaps are drawn up the two adjacent sides.
A stepper-driven head applies price or promotional labels to the top surface.
