Craft Canning + Bottling (Craft Canning), a company of mobile packaging provider Eastside Distilling, has collaborated with Canadian Canning to deliver end-to-end canning services.

Under the deal, the companies will offer full end-to-end services, including unlimited can supply, mobile and fixed canning, pasteurisation and advanced digital printing, for small and large producers.

The new partnership is said to ensure current and future supply of domestically manufactured Crown cans and cost-effective solutions for Craft Canning customers, in addition to enhanced logistics for beverage producers.

Eastside Distilling operations SVP Michael Karstadt said: “The talented and passionate team at Craft Canning is excited to add digital can printing and fixed facility co-packing along with pasteurization to our mobile filling and consumable supply business. We can now provide a full-service operation to small and large producers alike.”

The new partnership enables Craft Canning to better serve small and midsize beverage businesses that do not meet the large minimums needed by other canning companies.

The Crown cans, which are sourced through Canadian Canning, delivered better performance during trials with Craft Canning’s new Hinterkopf D240.2 digital printer.

Canadian Canning co-owner Sid Menghani said: “We strive to work with companies with a vision and a dash of excellence and are extremely delighted to join Craft Canning in pursuit of their three-year strategic plan as an essential business partner. We look forward to continuing to grow and expand our business together.”

Eastside Distilling’s craft spirits consist of Azuñia Tequilas, Burnside Whiskeys, Hue-Hue Coffee Rum, and Portland Potato Vodkas.

Craft Canning, established in 2012, supports breweries, wineries, or cideries to expand into professionally packaged products.
