Papex, the UK based paper, tissue and board making exhibition, is to be extended to include converting, finishing and recycling sections, when the next show is held in 2003. Exhibition manager Clare King, who also reported that the quality of visitors who attended this year's show in Manchester "remained at the highest level.
“Given the current state of the paper industry, we were expecting the attendance to be slightly lower than in 1999, which they were – 1,500 this year as opposed to 1,923. But the number of mill visitors was higher than in previous years and the quality was also up with a large percentage having purchasing power or holding a decision making position.”
