At LabelExpo next month, Matan will present the SpringPro, an advanced tag, ticket and label digital press, with the complementary Allan Datagraph DFS digital finishing system and the ComPack DigiBeam laser die cutting system.

The SpringPro is said to offer an enhanced resolution of up to 400x1600dpi at up to 274 linear metres per hour with an extensive colour gamut for label and tag printing. Other features include variable data, such as numbering and bar coding, and printing on preprinted media from other printing platforms. With a choice of four, five, or six colour, one-pass printing, it also empowers printers to offer value added capabilities for labels, tags and decals, such as a variety of spot, opaque white and metallic colours.

Complemented by the DFS or the DigiBeam systems, the new press is said to present a cost effective, ‘one stop shop’ digital workflow solution for short run, high durability label and decal applications, “providing unsurpassed operational flexibility and printing quality”.

The DigiBeam is a compact laser system for kiss cutting of fine contours and for engraving monochrome halftone pictures on most rigid substrates. The DFS is a self contained finishing system that laminates, digitally die cuts, slits and re-rolls printed or blank labels.
