US-based corrugated converting firm Complete Design & Packaging (CDP) has added a new Nozomi 14000 LED digital press from Electronics For Imaging (EFI) to its portfolio of single-pass inkjet digital print technology.
The new digital press represents the US-based firm’s second ultra-high-speed Nozomi direct-to-corrugated solution from EFI.
The new 55-inch-wide Nozomi 14000 LED press, which uses Nozomi single-pass UV LED inkjet technology, will offer enhanced productivity, reliability and flexibility.
CDP was the first company in the US to deploy EFI’s 71-inch wide Nozomi C18000 system.
With the new digital press, CDP will once again become the first in the US to install a 55-inch-wide Nozomi 14000 LED press from EFI.

The EFI new 14000 LED model can run at around 328 linear feet per minute with multiple productivity modes, fit for compact production lines.
With an advanced design, the digital press is suitable for heavy industrial use, high reliability and high productivity.
Users will have the option to choose configurations to better meet their needs, including a single or dual bottom feeder, a roller coater, an optional varnish station with a range of gloss or satin finishes, and full or bundle stacker options.
The inks of the EFI Nozomi 14000 LED press are available in up to six colours for better colour registration and coverage
The machine’s high-speed, non-clogging, high-performance jetting printheads offer desired accuracy and smooth colour gradients.
The installation is scheduled for the second quarter of this year.
