Packaging firm Vetroplas has launched a new range of tubes using in-mould labelling technology in the UK.

The tubes have been designed by the company’s Franco-Spanish tube manufacturing partner CTL/Tuboplast.

With this launch, Vetroplas has become the first company to offer the easy supply tube in the UK. Such tubes were previously available to CTL’s customer base in the US.

Vetroplas sales director Simon Dix said: "Now produced at the Spanish Factory, the EST tubes are manufactured using a revolutionary new technique of in mould labelling, providing a compelling solution for our customers.

"The product offers highly decorative tubes with the added luxury of having the whole sleeve covered from the seal to the cap – the difference being the decoration is on the label, not the tube sleeve itself."

The tubes are claimed to support metallic effects, matt and gloss finishes, and photographic CMYK images.

Simon said: "An additional benefit of the EST tubes is a shorter lead time, as only labels need to be printed and held in stock for future tube production."

Vetroplas supplies premium packaging for the cosmetics and personal care industry across the UK and Ireland.
