UK-based Pearlfisher has designed the new packaging and menus for vegetarian restaurant chain Otarian that is set to open on 18 August 2010 in London. Otarian is claimed to be the world's first low-carbon restaurant that measures the carbon footprint of every item on its menu.

Pearlfisher has developed a design for the ‘fast-casual’ chain that communicates both the product and the environmental message.

Pearlfisher creative director Natalie Chung said that they have deliberately kept the design simple, clean and modern. The bold and recognisably ‘foodie’ colours clearly show the choices available, as reported by PackagingNews.

Otarian founder Radhika Oswal stated that they are delighted with the design that Pearlfisher has created. It heroes their delicious food while also ensuring that the key environmental messages are communicated clearly.

Otarian has restaurants is New York as well.
