The move is in line with Oystar Group’s strategy to focus on its core business.

Based in Kirchlengern, Germany, and employing over 179 people, A+F generated revenues of around €30m in 2013. The transaction will be completed after approval by the German Federal Cartel Authority.

A+F provides integrated solutions for industries like dairy, beverage, food, consumer and other sectors. The company manufactures a wide range of equipment from filler to warehouse. It is also pursuing entry into other industry applications.

Speaking about the acquisition, mutares CEO and founder Axel Geuer said that the reason the company chose A+F was its high level of technical competence.

"From my own experience as a former customer of A+F, I especially appreciate the flexibility and reliability of the developed solutions," said Geuer.

A+F specializes in handling and packaging cups, tubs, beverage cartons and bottles into trays, crates sleeves. It also produces other dedicated solutions for applications involving other type of products like jars, cans, bags, flowpacks, pouches and others.

Based in Munich, mutares acquires companies sold by their former owners as part of a strategic repositioning and possess clear potential for operative improvements.

It supports all the acquired companies with its own team of experts to uplift the values of the companies.
