Electronics For Imaging (EFI), along with several of its partners, are showcasing the latest products at PacPrint 2017 in Australia.

The show features new wide-format and soft signage printers, providing better returns on investment.

Customers can see how they can fuel their success with Fiery DFE technologies for high-quality digital printing, and the industry’s portfolio of UV, LED and soft signage production printers.

EFI’s customer All Flags Signs & Banners is among the first in Australia to install two of the advanced printers showcased at PacPrint including the new EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 soft signage printer and the EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro hybrid roll/flatbed LED printer.

The new VUTEk FabriVU model installed at All Flags Signs & Banners, is an aqueous dye-sublimation soft signage textile printer.

This is a 3.4m printer which builds on EFI Reggiani’s 70 year experience in advanced textile imaging and can print up to 2400 dpi with four level grayscale printing with 4 to 18 picoitre drop sizes.

The FabriVU line comes in 1.8m and 5.2m widths, giving customers sizable time and money savings by allowing for transfer paper or direct print to textile using the same ink set.

All Flags Signs and Banners managing director Peter Wagener said: “Having had VUTEk printers for over 12 years, it was the obvious choice to move forward with EFI in the next step of our business.

“The reliability of the machines is unquestionable and the support from EFI is second to none. EFI, while a very large company, are a very customer focused organization and the R&D for EFI VUTEk printers is outstanding.”

EFI also showcased the sixth version of Fiery Command WorkStation software, which is claimed to offer a radically new user interface.

The software has been designed to offer a single interface for the workflows of high-end cut-sheet, high-speed continuous feed and wide and superiwde interface format printers.

It is claimed to be a significant improvement allowing operators to manage digital print devices across businesses. The latest versions software workflow systems are also on display in the EFI booth, highlight a comprehensive workflow system for commercial and signage and graphics production based on award-winning Pace MIS/ERP software.
