Bosch has unveiled a high-velocity modular sachet sealing and carton system that enables users to pack multiple free-flowing substances, pouch sizes and carton formats.

Sigpack Systems, a division of Bosch Packaging Technology, has unveiled the RNx vertical flat-pouch system for the primary and secondary packaging of powders, granulates and pellets.

While the machine’s design ensures that it occupies minimal factory space, it has an output of up to 1,000 sachets per minute. Its modular design enables it to pack multiple free-flowing substances, pouch sizes and carton formats.

Users can choose between augur fillers for difficult-flowing powders and granulates, and tipping filler for free-flowing powders because of the RNx’s dosing module. The integrated weight control system ensures 100% inline weight control and faulty products are automatically ejected via the dump gate.

In the sealing module, extended sealing times create tight and reliable pouch seals. The sealed pouches are then accurately positioned by grippers in the stacking unit, ready for secondary packaging. The cartoning section includes options of side-loading, top-loading or flow-wrapping for single or double stacks of sachets at a rate of 100 cartons per minute.

The RNx system can also be customised to include further optional modules including leaflet insertion and carton coding. The RNx features a touch-screen, that displays an on-screen representation of product flow processes.

Holger Botsch product manager of Sigpack Systems said, “With flexibility and a modular design, the RNx is a highly efficient system for products as varied as pain relievers, blood thinners, coffee or baking ingredients.

“With its combination of reliability, quality and speed, it is the latest generation of vertical flat pouch machines.”
