Scotland-based, Baxters Food Group has bought Domino's M-Series print and apply labelling system as part of a revamp at its Colchester plant.

The new M-Series will print labels for application to shrink wrapped trays.
Baxters maintenance engineer Toby Ford said that the workload at the plant can vary as many of the products, such as salads and mayonnaise, are seasonal, reports PackagingNews.

“As a result, we need to have maximum uptime in order to meet our deadlines, and Domino’s M-Series print and apply labelling system proved to be the perfect solution for us,” Ford said.

“The system allows for a “fast changeover of consumables” while the electronic height adjustment allows for different sized products coming down the line,” Ford added.
