US-based diversified technology company 3M has launched Scotch Magic Eco-Friendly Tape for packaging.
3M said Scotch Magic Eco-Friendly Tape, including refillable dispenser, packaging and tape is made from more than 75% renewable or recycled materials. The boxed refill roll, including packaging, is made from more than 65% renewable or recycled materials.
The material in the tape is based on dispenser and core made from 100% recycled plastic. According to the company, the tape is made from over 53% renewable materials while back-card made from 100% renewable materials.
The company claimed that tape has great adhesive strength, photo-safe formulation and performance.
3M Scotch Home and Office Tapes Business Unit Manager Pete Ley said that this is a great innovation during a time when people really are looking for those everyday things they can do to lessen their impact on the environment.
