The new FB-350 press, which consists of high-capacity cold foil towers and a rail-based re-inserting system, is expected to help the company to increase its capacity by more than 30%
Colombia-based Impreac – Impresos y Acabados has installed its second Nilpeter FB-Line press, called FB-350, in a bid to boost its production capabilities in multi-layer coupon labels.
The new FB-350 press is expected to help the company to increase its capacity by more than 30%.
Impreac was established in 1991 as a sheet-fed company, while the company’s flexo department was established in 2013 to offer multi-layer coupon labels to its customers. The company also caters to customers in Latin America and Central America.
Impreac production manager Luis Fernando Herrera said: “The new FB-350 will increase our capacity by at least 30%, giving us the chance to react faster to unplanned orders, and the flexibility to handle last-minute changes.
“Overall, it will improve our abilities in the production of multi-layer coupon labels and cardboard labels.”
The new FB-350 Line press consists of high-capacity cold foil towers, a rail-based re-inserting system, an automatic plating positioning feature and a short web pass.
The printer can customise the press to meet a wide variety of requirements ranging from a very basic configuration to an advanced configuration.
Designed for the flexible label printer, the FB-Line press is available in 13” and 16” widths and helps to print value-added labels at high speeds.
Nilpeter Andean region commercial manager Juan Pablo Patino Arevalo said: “Being a witness from the beginning and working side-by-side with the customer has shown me the wide production spectrum that our presses are able to achieve.
“When we started, the project was focused on 5-page coupon labels. And now, mixing the development of IMPREAC with the technology of Nilpeter’s FB-Line, and passing the learning curve, they have been able to produce coupon labels up to 13 pages.”
In January this year, Lotus Labels installed the new Nilpeter FA-17 press to accelerate its production capabilities.
