Arca Systems has worked with the Coca-Cola Company to develop a packaging and handling solution for soft drinks.
The reusable packaging system named Megabox, based on the Arca Combo Bulk liquid handling product, is designed to streamline the delivery process between Coca-Cola’s European syrup production plants and high volume end users.
Megabox is a foldable container designed for the bulk storage and transport of liquid concentrates. It carries a flexible liner, which is filled with syrup. Coca-Cola is using a 250-litre, half-euro pallet container, with an 800x600mm footprint. The liner has been developed especially for soft drinks.
The initial order is worth EUR3.25M and will be used throughout Coca-Cola’s European operations.
