ExxonMobil Chemical' Films Business is to expand the capacity of its Virton, Belgium, facility by installing a new coating line.
It will increase the company’s European coating capacity by 35 per cent.
Due to start up in late 2003, the new line will be used mainly to reinforce the company’s film label business for cans and bottles. The coater will be 50 per cent faster than previous machines and ExxonMobil expects to use it on a wide variety of substrates.
