C-P Flexible Packaging’s division Cleanroom Film and Bags (CFB) has expanded its portfolio of customised sterilisable packaging with the addition of Tyvek packaging material.

CFB’s sterilisable packaging made from Tyvek material offers microbial barrier, puncture resistance, and tear strength. It is suitable for pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostic instruments.

The company said the Tyvek sterilisable packaging is compatible with gamma, plasma, autoclave, EtO and steam sterilisation methods and meets the highest level of sterilisation standards.

CFB’s Tyvek sterilisable packaging is available in a range of formats like peelable pouches and header bags.

C-P Flexible Packaging CEO Michael Hoffman said: “CFB has spent the past 25 years building a reputation as a trusted supplier of medical packaging with superior quality and lead times.

“This expanded offering allows us to fulfil the ever-increasing demand for Tyvek sterilisable packaging.”

Using its patented manufacturing process and package design skills, CFB offers a high degree of customisation to satisfy each application’s particular needs.

The company provides a reliable supply of Tyvek packaging to makers of wound care products, implants, inhalers, surgical devices and medical instruments.

Based in California, CFB is engaged in the supply of sterile cleanroom packaging for the medical, pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace, semiconductor and food industries.

In August 2021, C-P Flexible Packaging acquired CFB for an undisclosed sum to expand in the West Coast region.

Last year, CFB announced a new solar-powered and ISO-certified packaging facility in Placentia, California. It has ISO-certified cleanrooms with environmental monitoring climate systems and a fully equipped laboratory.
