A management team of the company’s directors has purchased label printer Stampiton from US parent company Renaissance Mark for an undisclosed figure. The UK based company is a £14M turnover operation employing 120 staff to produce specialist labels and bespoke laminates. Managing director and MBO team leader David Smith promises “additional investment in the future”.
Reifenhäuser is building a production facility in Suzhou, China. Due to be completed in April, its first project will be a three-layer blown film line which will be shown at Chinaplas 2004.
Mocon claims its new Permatran-W 700 and Ox-Tran 702 testing systems offer a precise and efficient way to measure water vapour and oxygen transmission rates on flat films, laminates, and co-extrusions. Seven structures can be tested independently.
GRE Engineering’s 2004 Open House on March 29-April 3, at its Steinebrunn, Switzerland HQ, will focus on digital printing and converting and on the company’s latest innovations for its range of pre-owned label printing presses. The demonstration programme will include RFID label manufacturing and high speed multi web hot foil stamping and hologram inserting with multiple train foil saving.
