Dodd Engineering has commissioned a 42m long airshaft handling system to improve safety on nine extruder winders for a PE manufacturer in the UK. It is said to enable a single operator to quickly, easily – and safely load a re-cored airshaft into the winder, in about the same time as it originally took two men.
This year’s EFTA Masterclass in flexography will run from September 27-29. Limited to 10 delegate places, the students will design a flexo job, provide the repro specification, make the plates, chose the printing parameters and print the job in less the two days.

In partnership with an OEM based in the UK, TTS Systems has been awarded a contract to supply tension feedback systems for a major Chinese client. This is the second order for the machine builder. The first was for 32 feedback systems; this order is for a further 64 systems to be used in a copper foil production facility.
Reel Technical Services is now an approved systems integrator for Sprint Electric DC drives and ABB web tension products.
